Coming from abroad?

If you are coming from abroad, you will land in Catania. My advice is to take the town of Giarre (about 40km from Catania airport) as a reference point and stay within a 10km radius. Here is a list of accommodations that I believe might suit your needs and therefore I recommend them:

La pietra antica O'munti

Would you like to embrace a complete Sicilian experience?

We've found the perfect spot, located on a hill with stunning views, equipped with a pool, and offering Food KM zero. Plus, there are opportunities for excursions to Mount Etna. We'll also be celebrating "The Final Act," Andrea's birthday party, at this location

When you call, ask for Mrs. Nunzia and mention my name; she will take special care of you.

Enrich your Sicilian break - What to visit?

Mount Etna

Visiting Sicily without a trip to Mount Etna is your loss, This active volcano offers breathtaking landscapes and unique geological features that are a testament to nature’s power. Don’t miss the chance to explore this iconic landmark. More details at the following LINK

Taormina

No introductions needed for Taormina, a world-renowned tourist destination that is absolutely beautiful, and I highly recommend it. If you are with us on Tuesday, September 10, we will all go together to Taormina.

Isola Bella

A dip where the water is bluest… If you go to Taormina, you must stop by Isola Bella, located at Mazzarò, practically the beach area of Taormina.

Catania

The city is a hub of Sicilian culture and history, featuring landmarks like Piazza Duomo, Piazza Università, Teatro Massimo, and the bustling Via Etnea. Easily accessible via the A18 highway, Catania offers a rich mix of architecture, history, and local cuisine that shouldn’t be overlooked.

If you need to rent a car

If you're coming from outside the area, renting a car is a practical choice. Public transportation options can be limited outside of urban centers, and finding a taxi might be challenging. I've considered these factors to ensure you have a smooth experience while exploring the region. Renting a car will give you the flexibility to travel at your own pace and visit the many beautiful sites Sicily has to offer without the constraints of public transit schedules.
