If you stop in Rome Ciampino and need to fly  from Rome Fiumicino to Catania, remember that Fiumicino and Ciampino are two distinct airports in Rome. Take the shuttle that goes directly from Ciampino to Fiumicino without going through Termini station (No taxis if you want to avoid spending 70 euros).

No, there is no dress code, but keep in mind that it could still be very hot in Sicily at the beginning of September (even over 30 degrees).
